Here is my Manifesto, that should have been distributed in paper format.

1) Young & Old Together= Political Success: Commitment to building stronger ties between us. Building a future of strength & confidence with the Association

2) Built To Last: Commitment to strengthening our societ New ideas and innovative socials, equals more members and more speakers to our events

3) Listening To You: Commitment to empowering members
By listening to you our membership more often, we can creating a strong & vibrant society

4) The Right to Choose: Commitment to an open, democratic Society The New Constitution streamlined for 2007/08 will pave the way for more democracy & accountability.

At the very heart of my campaign to become Deputy Chairman Political I have proposed a posititively grounded, realistic, workable agenda, a watermark for the future, my manifesto for you. My broad Manifesto applies the unchanging values of our society , to the new priorities that we must take for the future. It is a plan, my plan to make a more accountable society a society that is open, a society that works hard and in time rewards everyone.

These 4 pledges, are what I have to help provide leadership and direction in Aber CF. The great thing is that I have targets and aims. It’s no good being elected without a vision. I know, and you know if I have failed or succeeded. These targets are not some pre election rant, that never gets done, these are achievable, uplifting and positive changes.

Unfortunately this didn’t happen, and was probably somewhat unrealistic. Though for me and Brad it gave us a taste of grass routes politics. We spent a two days knocking on doors and got a brilliant response, at first we were unsure about the reception we would getthough door knocking really is't that bad at all, we will all have to do it at somepoint, whether for councillor of MP. The best moment was in the evening on the 12th outside the polling station (the day of the election), the outgoing Plaid candidate was stunned that there were two Conservatives greeting and welcoming voters, as they made their way up the steps. Frantically he was dialing numbers, and a few minutes later the Plaid battle van came whizzing round the corner, with Elin Jones, in the front seat, and microphones, they were going off collecting known Plaid voters, picking them up and then dropping them off round the corner, out of sight so it looked like they had come walking down. To sum it up the Welsh Conservatives are in business and we gave Plaid a run for their money!!! Let's build on it! Next Year!

Therefore i have a good view of both our respective groups and how they operate and whow they could be made better. Personally Aber CF members can benefit from getting to know the Association better, become more involved locally and become and feel part of the community, i certainly did. From being a member of CF at university, to feeling like an actual resident, a place where i belong.
We can benefit from each others vast experiences, values and enthusiasm. Our Association here in Aberystwyth is offering students rich experiences, for example the ability for CF members to represent the community as councillors.
If elected I will endevour to organise mutual events and stronger ties with the Association. I will encourage our members to participate in suggested ?policy debate evenings? once a month, as well as our AGM?s and coffee mornings, other ideas may be in the pipeline! I will make sure CF members are represented at the Associations functions and vice versa.
We are lucky in Aberystwyth in having a very enthusiastic, extremely warm and friendly Association, it is too much to waste, therefore our ties with the Association I feel should be strengthened more then they have ever been, and I trust that this is something I will achieve and be a legacy for others to build on.

I watched on U tube today David Cameron speaking at the Welsh Conference at Cardiff earlier in the month. Cameron was right, we as a party must move forward and not look back for the answers of today. We were the instigators of a prosperous economy during the Thatcher years that battle is won. New Labour have followed. Now we the Conservatives must lead the way in tacking the social problems of today, just like the economic problems of yesterday. A future of new revolutionary policies instigated by a modern compassionate moderate centre right policies are the only way forward from this mess Labour have got us into.

1) Fox hunting should not have been banned.
2) Oppose leaving the EU, not a realistic option, rather needs reform
3) Oppose House of Lords Reform
4) Oppose centralized government, the nanny state, the 'state knows best'
5) I support Nuclear Power, but with a degree of renewable energy sources
6) I on the fence about Green Taxes at the moment.
7) Replacing Trident is in the national interest
8) Oppose the scrapping of the Honors System
9) For the Smoking Ban
10) Oppose ID Cards
11) Oppose Anti Terrorism Laws
12) Oppose Extension to Sunday working hours
13) Oppose Flat Rate Tax
14) Oppose unregulated Casino's.
15) Oppose the limited spending in the Armed Forces-Navy, Air Force, and Army
16) Oppose the closure of post offices
17) I oppose Educational Matinance Allowance (year 12-13), I would introduce book tokens instead, as then we know what tax payers money is being spent on!
18) I Support tuition fees, but oppose rises.
19) I supported the Iraq war, but with hindsight we should not have gone there.
20) Voteing age should not be lowered to 16. Neither should voteing be mandatory, people in a democracy have the right not to vote!
